We are sited at the beginning of the cul-de-sac

We now live in a quiet cul-de-sac of 12 houses about 1/4 mile from the Forth and Clyde canal and under 1/2 a mile from the village centre which has a small supermarket, post office, a great butchers the best fish and chip shop in the area and a few restaurants (not yet visited). Within 1/4 mile we have a Library (with free internet service which was great while we were waiting for our connection) and the Community centre where we can play carpet bowls 3 times a week in the winter (we normally go once).
The outdoor bowling club is under a mile away quite walkable if you want to have a few drinks during or after the match or just for a bit of exercise Sheena walks a lot Mike normally drives and drinks ginger beer. Falkirk is only 4 miles away, Stirling about 9 and both Glasgow and Edinburgh are drivable in 45 mins.  If you ever visit us by plane Edinburgh is the easiest Airport to access.

There are several tourist attractions close by and lots of places for walking. Rough Castle and the Antoine Wall are both roman remains and the Falkirk Wheel is a new attraction which connects the canals from the east and west of Scotland that meet in Falkirk (well they do now since this was built!!).  The Antonine Wall is now a British Heritage site

And guess what - Mike’s got a bus pass and can travel all over Scotland for nowt!!
